- If you haven’t witnessed something with your own eyes, don’t spread it around. Similarly, if someone boasts about an achievement you can’t verify, don’t promote false claims.
- For things you don’t fully understand, it’s okay to simply say, “I don’t know.”
- When others throw stones at you and make you stumble, don’t throw back. Instead, turn those stones into stepping stones for your success.
- The more famous someone is, the more controversies they attract. If you can’t handle the noise yet, give up “fame” for now. Sometimes, stepping back is the best way forward. True success is often found in silence.
- If you can tolerate it, do. If you can’t, change. If change is impossible, accept reality.
- When facing any situation, don’t rush. Speak slowly, think clearly, and problems will resolve more smoothly.
- To shine your own light, don’t try to extinguish others’ lights—it only wastes your own time.
- Don’t seek revenge or create enemies with petty people. They already have enough opponents; they don’t need you to join.
- Avoid blind arrogance, but also don’t deliberately belittle yourself.
- Everyone has secrets they don’t want to share. If someone doesn’t confide in you, don’t force the issue.
- If many people are doing something and you’re not, you might be wrong. But sometimes, you could be the only one on the right path. Truth doesn’t lie in the majority—it lies in wisdom.
- Praying to deities is less effective than seeking help from people, and relying on others is less reliable than relying on yourself. Personal strength is the most powerful.
- Fruit must ripen before it can be picked. Thoughts must be fully developed before they can be expressed clearly.
- Don’t overcomplicate simple matters. Don’t stress over complex ones. Don’t speak when you’re angry. Don’t make decisions in rage.
- Someone reaching out to help doesn’t always mean they genuinely want to save you. Learn to save yourself first.
- Silence is often wiser than speaking and revealing your foolishness.
- Quiet resistance can strike more effectively than vocal outrage, which often only harms yourself.
- Don’t think you’re inferior to others, but don’t consider yourself superior either.
- True leadership isn’t about how many noble people you can lead, but how many petty people you can manage.
- To win over others, first conquer yourself.
- Many people who superficially try to improve themselves mistakenly believe they are truly self-aware.
- You can’t judge whether others are good or bad, but you can strive to be a good person yourself.
- No one is perfect. Everyone has flaws.
- The best thing about telling the truth is you never have to remember what you said.
- Foolish people may be unaware of their ignorance, but wise fools know they don’t need to appear smart.
- People absorbed in their own thoughts often fail to hear others’ voices.
- Someone who understands you isn’t necessarily someone who cares—they may simply be observant and perceptive.
- Just as turbulent waters obscure reflections, anger clouds perception of reality and people.
- Life experiences are like a pencil: sharp at first, gradually worn down by challenges, eventually rounded. If you can’t endure, you break.
- To reach the top, you must climb on your own. Relying on others will make your fall painful.
- You may not be noble, but don’t easily become petty.
- Social fatigue often comes from people trying to impress without having the necessary qualities.
- Patience calms the wind. Tolerance brings inner peace.
- If you have a good solution, present it. If not, stay out of it.
- No matter how foolish someone is, don’t overthink. The world is vast, and you’re not the biggest fool. Learn lessons for the future.
- Keep your promises and value trust. If you don’t make empty promises, you won’t betray anyone.
- Someone who doesn’t understand goods may be fooled once, but someone who cannot read people will suffer their whole life.
