Why Businesses Are Choosing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Over NetSuite /86
Odoo CRM is a comprehensive system built on one of today’s most popular programming languages, Python. This allows the CRM to be quickly customized to meet the specific needs of any business.
CRM is a strategic system for managing customer relationships. Specifically, a business needs to manage three types of relationships:
1. Pre-Sale Relationship
The goal is to consolidate all customer contacts (Leads/Opportunities) in one place. Odoo CRM helps automatically capture contacts from landing pages, Google Forms, Facebook forms, Excel imports, or manual entries.
Next, contacts need to be assigned to the right sales team based on their skills and expertise. Odoo CRM can automatically allocate contacts depending on past conversion performance (for example, a salesperson with a 40% conversion rate receives fewer contacts than one with a 60% rate; if their 40% conversion improves, they will automatically get more contacts). Allocation can also consider specialization (for example, a salesperson specializing in US study abroad programs will not be assigned contacts interested in French programs, even if they convert well). Additionally, if a lead is not converted within a certain period (e.g., 30 days), the system can reassign it to another salesperson. Because allocation is automatic, each salesperson only sees their own contacts, keeping the company’s entire database secure.
2. During-Sale Relationship
Once a salesperson receives a contact, they need tools to manage customer status and appointment scheduling.
Odoo CRM provides a pipeline system (similar to Salesforce) that allows sales to drag and drop customer statuses (also available on mobile). It also integrates scheduling with Google Calendar to manage appointments and send reminders directly to mobile devices.
3. After-Sale Relationship
When a customer signs a contract, it’s important to manage several key processes: logistics (for physical products), project implementation (for service products), and payment management.
Odoo CRM includes:
- Sales module: to manage order status
- Inventory module: to track stock and delivery
- Project module: to oversee project implementation
- Invoicing module: to manage payments and reconciliation
This is Odoo’s biggest strength – an integrated management system on a single platform.
After order completion, businesses need to manage customer support tickets, warranties, after-sale care, and re-engagement campaigns. Odoo CRM provides:
- Helpdesk module: for customer ticket management
- Maintenance module: for warranty and maintenance management
- Marketing Automation module: for automated emails and customer nurturing according to predefined scenarios
- Notification system: to remind customer service staff to invite customers back for repeat purchases
Additional Features of Odoo CRM:
- Integration with Call Centers to record calls and display customer information during calls
- Transparent reporting system to evaluate and monitor business health
- Customer segmentation manually or automatically (e.g., customers who spent over $500 but haven’t purchased in 2 months are automatically flagged as “needs attention”)
- Customer tiers, loyalty points, promotions, coupons, and gift cards
If your business is looking for a comprehensive CRM system, Odoo CRM is definitely worth considering.
